‘A New Hope’ Rick Joyner

We live in a remarkable world in remarkable times. Advances in every field are coming at warp speed, except for one area: our sense of well-being. Depression and anxiety are increasing while happiness is decreasing. Why?

The increasing psychological instability is not the fault of technological advances as much as it is the powerful and systematic attack on our moral and cultural foundations. The fastest way to kill a plant is to cut it off from its roots, and the fastest way to destroy a nation is to cut it off from its history and its stabilizing traditions. For nearly a century, America has been the focus of an intentional and relentless strategy to do this using revisionist historians.

The goal of the revisionists is to rewrite our history, making the good look evil and the evil look good. Each new generation of these pseudo historians have gotten more extreme than the previous one. By this we are being cut off from our roots, as well as from the powerful vision and purpose for the future that fueled our growth and strength as a nation. When the historical and cultural foundations are shaken, people feel the instability, which results in anxiety. Anxiety leads to depression.

Medication has been the primary way to fight this rising anxiety and depression. While this can give some temporary relief, it does not solve the problem. Medication can dull the senses, making us feel secure in a condition in which we are increasingly vulnerable. That keeps us from addressing the source of the anxiety and depression, which can be a very real threat.

The Prophet Isaiah explained in the first chapters of his prophecy how turning good into evil and evil into good is an ultimate depravity to which a nation can fall. This leads to honoring the dishonorable and dishonoring the honorable. This twists and perverts the character of the nation, and thus its stability.

As Isaiah went on to declare, such perversion of a nation will bring the judgment of God upon it in increasingly severe measure. This judgment begins with making “capricious children its leaders.” Can anyone look at what is happening in our nation’s capital today and not see that we are well into this phase of judgment?

After this comes increasingly severe judgments, such as natural disasters and wars, until the ultimate destruction of the nation. What has been the experience of our country over the last few decades?

The implication is that these are self-inflicted consequences of removing the hedge of protection God places around the nations that obey Him. As Isaiah warned, such nations will be afflicted with increasingly severe natural disasters. Consider that just a couple of decades ago, it shocked the nation when we suffered $10 billion in damage from natural disasters in a year. We are now surpassing $300 billion in losses each year. How bad will it have to get to wake us up?

There is one thing we can do to turn the nation from the wicked ways that are leading to our destruction—obey the commandment to “Honor your fathers and mothers.” This is the only commandment God gave with a promise attached: that it would go well with us and we would dwell long in the land. It guarantees this because it reconnects us to the roots from which our life comes.

We honor our fathers and mothers by remembering them, studying them, and seeking to hear the wisdom they passed on to us. If we go back to the history written before the corruption of the revisionists, we will find our forefathers and mothers to have been some of the best, most courageous, good, and remarkable characters in all of history. They are deserving of honor, not the lies that are being written about them now.

None of our ancestors were perfect, and neither was the civilization they built. Some great advances were the result of evil motives, and there were many tragic mistakes along the way. We must study these as well, not to dishonor those who made them but to learn so that we don’t repeat them. Even so, we must always keep in mind that “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble”(see James 4:6, I Peter 5:5 NKJV). Therefore, we must not fall to generational pride and think we are so much better and smarter now. Even if we are in some ways, it is because we have been given the grace to learn from them.

Proverbs 4:18 states, “The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day.” Civilization has benefitted from ever increasing light. This came from the understanding of new generations being added to what was passed on to them. For this reason, it is not right or just to judge those in history by our times. Rather, they must be viewed in the light of their own times.

We also must keep in mind that we “see in part” and “know in part.” There is always more to the story. For example, revisionist historians have tried to paint American Founding Fathers like Washington and Jefferson as being evil because they were slave owners. We concur that slavery is evil, but so did Washington and Jefferson. They both wrote and spoke out against it. They called it not just evil, but a plague and a curse. So why did they own slaves? They inherited their slaves. British, and then Virginia, law forbid the freeing of slaves. Both Washington and Jefferson freed their slaves at the time of their deaths, which at the time was the only way to do it.

There is almost always another side to the story that paints it in an entirely different color. Even so, we acknowledge that it was a grave mistake for any of the states to be allowed to pass such laws in basic conflict with the Constitution. It was done for political expedience, a motive that has continued to allow both unconstitutional and evil actions by our government. These have now led to untenable divisions in the nation, just as slavery did. Such compromises of our core values have cost the nation dearly, including the Civil War.

Every generation has had flaws, sinned, and made mistakes, but did they advance the light? Like the biblical history of Israel, some generations did well and some did not. Even so, we can find some things and people to honor in every generation, and we can learn important lessons from each one. For some, we should stand in awe at what they accomplished. As we look back, we will find in our national fathers and mothers some of the most interesting, courageous, and great souls to have walked the earth. Let this inspire us to pick up where they left off and keep advancing what is right, and true, and just.

I wish to see all unjust and unnecessary discriminations everywhere abolished, and that the time may come when all our inhabitants of every color and discrimination shall be free and equal partakers of our political liberties.

– Founding Father John Jay

“2020: The Year of the Prophets” Bishop Bill Hamon, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Proclaim and Protect

Prophets’ words bring supernatural victory! “…Believe in the Lord your God and you shall be established; believe and remain steadfast to His prophets and you shall prosper” (2 Chr. 20:20 AMPC). King Jehoshaphat and Judah won a great victory by acting on the word of the prophet. The spoils from the dead army brought great prosperity and peace, and all nations feared them after God fought for Judah.

Prophet Isaiah prophesied the defeat of the Assyrian’s war against Judah, and God sent one of His war angels who killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night. “And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was [Israel] preserved” (Hosea 12:13). Prophets guide and protect God’s people by revealing the thoughts, purposes, timing and personal word of God, and by ministering His mighty power to them and their situation.

The Mouth of the Lord

The Hebrew calendar year is 5780, which is represented by the letter “peh,” meaning “mouth.” It is the 17th letter of the Jewish alphabet and symbolizes victory. It is through the mouth of the prophet that the personal and national word of the Lord is proclaimed. God spoke to Prophet Moses, “Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say” (Ex. 4:12). God declared to Prophet Jeremiah, “…Behold, I have put My words in your mouth” (Jer. 1:9).

This is the decade where the company of prophets will be the mouth of the Lord, speaking God’s directive to individuals and nations.

The Double-Portion Year and a Great Divide

Only every 100 years do the double numbers 1818, 1919 and 2020 appear. For God’s prophetic people, it will be a double-portion year (Is. 61:7). It will be a year of new beginnings. New times and purposes of God will be launched.

It will not be just another year, but a kairos year; a pivotal year when the battle between right and wrong will become more intense. Groups and nations will either swing more to wickedness or righteousness; to light or to darkness. They’ll either become more like the anti-Christ or the Body of Christ. Churches will either become like the Laodicean church – lukewarm and passive – or they will be victorious, supernatural, present-truth, warrior churches, that demonstrate the Kingdom of God in every nation, standing as a witness of the only one true Almighty God, Jesus Christ, Lord of Heaven and Earth (Mt. 24:14; Dan. 4:1-37).

The Second Level

We are moving into the second level of God’s purpose for His prophets in the 21st century. The restoration movement of 1948 was the first to start teaching that prophets are to be current and active in the Church. In 1986, I published the book “Prophet & Personal Prophecy,” which revealed the restoration of prophets and the great company of prophets that God was raising up to make ready a people and prepare the way for Christ’s second coming, as the prophet John the Baptist did for Christ’s first coming.

In 1987 Christian International conducted the first ever International Gathering of Prophets Conference. In that conference, the saints went into 45 minutes of deep intercessory prayer for the birthing of the company of prophets. In the 1988 CI Prophets Conference, there was a sovereign move of God that birthed a prophetic movement (the details are given in “Prophets & Prophetic Movement,” pages 94-100, 105.)

The first level/phase of the prophets and prophetic ministry is described in Ezekiel 37:1-8. It was noised abroad and they came together into different prophetic networks. The second level/wave of God’s purpose for the restoration of prophets is described in Ezekiel 37:9-10. They began ministering in resurrection life, and became an exceeding great army (see Rev. 10:7; 11:3-5; Moses prophesying to Pharaoh; Daniel prophesying to Nebuchadnezzar, and many more).

“D-Day”

Just like the European nations, America and other allied nations during World War II began making plans for a unified battle that began the fall of the Hitler Empire, and the end of the war, so also Jesus Christ, the Commander-in-Chief of His saints army and angelic army, will begin to reveal His plans and strategies to His army generals for making all His enemies His footstool.

Fivefold ministers must make sure their saints have on their whole spiritual armor and know how to use their spiritual weapons of war. As Jesus reveals His plans and strategies to build His Church to His holy apostles and prophets, He will also use them to bring the revelation of the strategies for winning God’s World War III (Eph. 3:3-5). “Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7).

Jesus will do nothing in His Church or on planet Earth without first proclaiming it through His prophets. Listen and heed the enlightening and instructive voice of God through His true and mature prophets in 2020.

Third Reformation and World War III

Mighty Warrior Jesus led the fight in God’s World War I during the First Reformation. Jesus purchased the Church, birthed it, and established it, and His disciples spread it to ends of the earth. This was God’s World War I. God’s World War II was fought during the Second Reformation to restore all truths that were taken from the true Church by the devil during the 1,000-year Dark Age Church, who changed its living, experiential truths into religious, dead works. God’s World War III is being fought during the Third Reformation to fulfill God’s end-time purposes.

The final and greatest battle ever to be fought by King Jesus and His army of saints will bring about the consummation of the ages as described in Revelation 19:11-21. It will close out the mortal Church Age and usher in Jesus and His Kingdom saints, who will rule over all the earth (Rev. 5:10; 19:11-21; 20:6; 11:15; 2:26-27; Dan. 4:34-35; 7:9-10, 14, 18, 22, 26-27).

Awake! Put on Your Strength and Prepare for War!

God showed me what satan is presently planning. It’s like the time when the generals in Japan were making plans for attacking Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, while at the same time, Japan sent ambassadors to Washington D.C. to keep America passive and unaware of what was about to take place.

Satan is now planning a “Pearl Harbor Attack” on the Church. He is sending ambassadors (ministers) to keep the Church passive and unaware of what is about to take place in the Church and the nations. It’s like when Joshua and the Israeli army crossed the Jordan and engaged in their military campaign to make the nations of Canaan the nation of Israel.

Now, in like manner, Jesus’ Church army of saints have crossed their Jordan and have entered their military campaign that will not end until these and many other similar Scriptures are fulfilled: Revelation 5:10; Revelation 11:15; 2 Peter 3:13; Hebrew 10:13.

Time to Possess Our Full Inheritance!

I have received several prophecies from major prophets that I would have the anointing like Caleb for possessing my promised inheritance from Christ. Caleb was 85 years old when he came to the land in Canaan that he had spied out. I have reached my 85th year and am at my inheritance. Caleb requested from Joshua that he be given that land to conquer for his inheritance. Caleb had been fighting in Canaan 5 years before it became the time and place for him to begin fighting and possessing his own inheritance.

2020 is the year that I will begin possessing my full inheritance in Christ. Just as the anointing oil flowed from Aaron’s head to the skirts of his garment, may this anointing oil pass from me to you to possess your inheritance flow to all God’s prophetic people. Because it is the time for the fathers of the prophetic movement to receive the authority and time for possessing full inheritance, I pray and believe for all who receive and honor God’s true prophets to receive the same. Let us all keep fighting until we possess all that God has promised us (Josh. 14:6-15; Eph. 1:11). Give me my mountain!

The Majority Have Not Possessed

“…How long will you neglect to go in to possess the land, which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has given you?” (Josh. 18:3). Joshua challenged the 7 tribes concerning why they had neglected possessing their inheritance. There are serious consequences for neglecting to possess and manifest what Christ has given to us.

1 Corinthians 12:7 declares that the supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit are given to every saint. Consider the parable of the talents, the servant who did not use the gift the Master gave to him, it was taken from him and given to another, and that servant was declared lazy, unprofitable, and was cast into outer darkness (Mt. 25:14-30). Use it or lose it!

• “Do not neglect the gift that is in you…” (1 Tim. 4:14).

• “…[S]tir up the gift of God which is in you…” (2 Tim. 1:6).

• “How shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation [which includes the gifts of the Holy Spirit]…?” (Heb. 2:3, emphasis mine).

• “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1 Pet. 4:10).

In 2020, begin to equip yourself with the teaching and training for activating and ministering the grace and gifts of God you have inherited from Christ! God needs millions equipped with their spiritual weapons of war to fight alongside Him in His World War III. He also needs millions equipped with the Gospel and the supernatural to reap His great end-time harvest.

End-time Harvest

The time for God’s great end-time harvest has been launched. It will continue to increase until God’s desired harvest is reaped. More souls will be saved during the last 100 years of the Church than have been saved during the whole Church Age. Preparation must be made now for the great harvest. The harvesters must be equipped with God’s World War III weapons of supernatural, Holy-Spirit manifestations. The powerful, supernatural prophesying of the prophets, the miracles of the apostles, and the powerful Gospel preaching of the evangelist are required to reap this greatest harvest ever recorded.

Determining the Destiny of Nations

Old Testament prophets prophesied God’s word to nations like Israel, Egypt, Babylon and many other nations, which revealed and determined their future and destiny. God declared to Prophet Jeremiah, “…I ordained you a prophet to the nations” (Jer. 1:5). God then decrees that He has set the prophet’s voice with the word of the Lord over the nations and kingdoms: “See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms…” (Jer. 1:10). This would include the states and cities within a nation.

Certain last-day prophets will be commissioned to speak God’s personal word to a nation, and how that nation responds to God’s word can determine whether they become a sheep nation that Jesus sets on His right side or a goat nation He sets on His left side (Mt. 25:1-4, 41). National leaders will listen to God’s prophetic apostles and apostolic prophets to receive God’s wisdom and strategies for situations for which they do not have a solution. An example of this is Isaiah prophesying God’s victory for the war (Is. 37:1-7, 21-35; 2 Kings 19:1-17.)

Equipping and Maturing the Saints

Ephesians 4:11-16 shows God’s main commission to prophets, apostles, pastors, evangelists and teachers is for them to equip the saints in their “membership ministry” in the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is no longer just a good idea but an absolute necessity for the saints, who will be God’s overcomers manifesting the Kingdom of God, to personally hear these words from Christ Jesus: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Ministers who know that they are supposed to equip the saints in the character of Christ and manifestations of the Holy Spirit, but do not, will be held accountable on that day.

The reason this is made a part of the Word of the Lord for 2020 is because Jesus knows the total amount of supernatural harvesters and warriors He needs in the immediate future to reap the harvest and win the war that has already begun. The thousands now prepared must quickly increase to millions!

Mega Grace for Those Committed to the Process

Father God is giving extra grace and wisdom to His committed and chosen ones to hasten the process of conformity to the likeness of His Son Jesus Christ. God’s highest calling and priority for His sons and daughters is not to do the greatest works but to be transformed into Christlikeness. Jesus needs a certain amount of human beings who have been born again and have grown to the maturity of Christlikeness.

The Bible reveals that only the overcomers who have been conformed to Christlikeness will be chosen to rule and reign with Christ on levels of great responsibility. Apostle Paul declared that the sufferings we go through in crucifying the flesh, dying to self and the process for transformation into Christlikeness is not worthy to be compared to the rewards it brings in eternity (Rom. 8:18, 29; Eph. 4:13, 15; 2 Cor. 3:18; Heb. 2:10).

God’s “glory” for Christians is conformity to Christlikeness.
